June 15th, Father's Day šŸ’– Thank you always, Dad šŸ’•

Compared to Mother's Day, it seems to be a bit more subdued in society.

Let's raise a glass of healthy Kakegawa tea to all the dads who work so hard for their families! šŸ»

In Shizuoka, the standard way to mix shochu (Japanese distilled spirit) is with green tea instead of hot water. This is called "Shizuoka-wari."

It might prevent you from getting too drunk.

A regular customer of the powdered Kakegawa tea and the proprietress of a local izakaya (Japanese pub) were clearly using them for different purposes.

惻To bring out the umami flavor, cook at a low temperature.

惻Use a high temperature to wake them up.

It's apparently very popular as a drink to sober up.

You can also enjoy a flavorful green tea cocktail by mixing tea brewed with cold water using loose leaves or tea bags with alcohol.
